Since then he has written five critically acclaimed novels, including Lipari (Selexyz debut price longlist Libris Literature Prize in 2007) and The disappearance of Robbert (shortlist Libris Literature Prize in 2014). His new novel, In good hands, appeared last September. How did Robbert Welagen as an art student become a writer? How did that process go? During the lecture he talks about this and links it to his new novel In good hands. He also shows some old work from his period at the art academy, including booklets published by his own publishing house called ‘Publisher Nettle soup’.
