ANTONIETTA PEETERS

Antonietta Peeters (Goirle, 1967) graduated in 1990 from AKV St.Joost in Breda and from 1991 to 1993 was a participant at De Ateliers, Amsterdam. Peeters currently lives and works in Amsterdam. Her work is to be seen in The Netherlands and abroad in group and solo exhibitions.

In the work of Antonietta Peeters, spatial perception and tangibility play an important role. Her oeuvre includes installations, sculptures, paintings and works on paper. In Club Solo she shows both existing and new work.

In the museum hall of Club Solo, M HKA (Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp) will show a number of works from Belgian artist Guy Mees from of their own collection in response to the work of Antonietta Peeters. The work of Guy Mees (1935, Mechelen – 2003, Antwerp) includes paintings, sculptures and paper reliefs, installations and films, in which references to the field of painting are central.
