Symposium on Tour ‘on new forms of collaboration in the art world’ is initiated by Club Solo. Previous editions took place in Casco Art Institute (Utrecht), Kunsthal Gent and TENT Welcomes (curator Katayoun Arian, Rotterdam). On Sunday June 19, the final episode takes place in Club Solo, Breda.
During this afternoon, subjects that were leading in the previous episodes, will be presented to representatives of artists’ initiatives and other art institutions, who will draw from their own institutions, who will enter into discussion on the basis of their own experiences and insights. The following questions are central: How do we talk to each other? How do we work together? Where do we want to go and how do we do that?
The afternoon will consist of three consecutive parts, in which we will take the forms of the previous episodes as a starting point:
1) assembly – the form of Casco Art Institute
2) working tables – the form of Kunsthal Gent
3) panel debate – the form of Katayoun Arian in TENT Welcomes
For this programme, the Club Solo building will be furnished by LU’UM, an open collective consisting of architects, urban planners, designers and artists. Moderator is Philippine Hoegen.
The symposium comes out of a series of programs on the future of artists’ initiatives that Club Solo previously organized. We published the book about the future and artist initiatives, which was followed by a series of podcasts and master classes at the Institute for Visual Cultures Breda.
