Club Solo organises a series of lectures together with residents of De Ateliers (Amsterdam). In these lectures the artists talk about their work in relation to the residency. Each speaker chooses the next resident to give the next lecture. Pedram Sazesh was chosen by Minne Kersten who gave De Ateliers Lecture in October 2020.
Pedram Sazesh is an Iranian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist who mainly paints, draws and makes photographs. He was born in Rome and raised in Toronto. In his work Sazesh investigates the mythologies and politics of geographical regions, sites of national heritage and immigration processes. He wants to know how the subjectivity caused by such environments and systems relates to his own identity.
Sazesh is currently a participant at De Ateliers in Amsterdam and got his BFA at the Cooper Union (NYC). He is currently working on the Aerodynamic Monument project.
There is a maximum of 30 people possible.
