Club Solo organises a series of lectures together with residents of De Ateliers (Amsterdam). In these lectures the artists talk about their work in relation to the residency. Each speaker chooses the next resident to give the next lecture. Sam Marshall Lockyer was chosen by Tild Greene who gave De Ateliers Lecture in April 2021.
Sam Marshall Lockyer (UK/BE) works through painting, photography, writing and video. She is interested in chaos and structures. At De Ateliers, she is working on a series of collage paintings incorporating images she gathered from many places. She also made a video work during the residency, in collaboration with a reality TV star.
